On Day 1 of the Vaccine Files, I revealed how the government tried to ‘kill’ early questions about how well the Astra Zeneca vaccine worked. In a highly questionable move, the UK’s most senior civil servant asked the then Health Secretary to have a word with the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulator (which is supposed to be independent) and ask them to reach out to their EU counterparts. The aim was to shut down unhelpful stories about the AZ jab circulating in the German press.
Now I am going to reveal how the government secretly reacted to growing concerns about a possible link between the AZ jab and potentially fatal blood clots.
It's only fair to point out that all vaccines carry some risk of adverse side effects, and that nobody in the UK was literally forced to have the jab, though huge pressure was exerted - particularly on health and social care workers, who (in a particularly grotesque though mercifully short-lived government policy) risked losing their jobs if they did not comply. It’s also important to point out that serious adverse reactions to the jab were rare.
Nonetheless, some people would die…..
